On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 12, 1992, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW The Great American Bash 1992’ LIVE on PPV from the Albany Civic Center in Albany, Georgia.
This was the 8th edition of WCW’s annual The Great American Bash events, although the 1986 & 1987 Great American Bash events were actually tours of several shows with the best matches making it to the VHS’, that made them being presented like 1 big event in both years, even though they weren’t.
There was no Great American Bash in 1993 & 1994, but after WCW was sold to the World Wrestling Federation in 2001, Vince McMahon brought the pay-per-view back in 2004 under the WWE banner.
The 1992 Bash featured a tournament for the NWA World Tag Team Championship.

Semi-final: Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham defeated Hiroshi Hase & Shinya Hashimoto
WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Big Van Vader defeated Sting (c)
Final: Terry Gordy & Steve Williams defeated Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham
• Another Episode Of “Undertaker: The Last Ride” Coming
The final chapter of Undertaker: The Last Ride docuseries aired on June 21st and it ended with The Undertaker announcing his retirement from in-ring competition.
This coming Sunday on July 19th, a bonus episode of this docuseries will air on the WWE Network.
The title of this episode is “Undertaker: The Last Ride – Tales From The Deadman”.
