For those who don’t know, WWE promoted this movie at their WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view earlier this month.

A fan tweeted the following to Batista about this:

“Hey Dave I love you, but this zombie sh*t on the WWE Backlash show was insulting!”

Batista replied the following:

“Wtf you telling me?!! You think I booked a bunch of f**king zombies. I’m on a damn plane! Shouldn’t you be tweeting Vince?!”

AEW Superstar Chris Jericho also took at a shot at WWE using zombies by tweeting the following:

“Zombies…ZOMBIES? Wow that just set wrestling back 30 years.”

Jericho’s tweet was in response to a report that recently came out, which stated that WWE Management thought AEW’s Blood & Guts match set the wrestling business back 30 years (tap here to read more).

Nick Khan (WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer) made the deal with Warner Bros to promote Army Of The Dead on WWE pay-per-view and WWE got paid over a million dollars for this!

While a lot of WWE’s fans complained about this, this segment involving zombies was trending on Social Media, which resulted in Batista’s new movie getting a lot of publicity.
