• CM Punk Asked About Darby Allin Challenging Him To A Match

At the recent “Fight For The Fallen” special episode of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin teased a match with CM Punk.

Here’s what the former TNT Champion said in his backstage interview:

“I’ve been around a lot of men in this world, that have laid claim to how they’re the greatest. There’s only one place to really prove that…right here in AEW…even if you think you’re the best in the world.”

Punk used to call himself the “Best In The World” in WWE.

During a recent interview on Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, Punk was first asked if he’ll be visiting the United Center next Friday night for AEW Rampage: The First Dance in Chicago (where he’s rumored to debut).

Here’s what Punk replied:

“Um, when was that? Let me look at my calendar. When did you say it was, the 20th? I think I actually might be doing a screening, this isn’t confirmed yet so I probably shouldn’t blast this out everywhere, but we’re talking about doing a screening of episode 3 of ‘Heels’ at an AMC [theater] in Chicago, and that’s one of the dates that has been proposed. So, um, hope to see everybody there.”

When asked about Darby’s challenge, Punk said the following:

“Hey listen, ‘Best In the World’, that could be anybody. That’s [Daniel] Bryan, right? That’s my assumption. I hear ‘Best In the World’ and I think Bryan.”
