4. HBK returns – SummerSlam 2002
SummerSlam 2002 is the only WWE PPV on this list (not counting Lesnar’s honorable mention), because it features a return of one of the greatest WWF stars ever, Shawn Michaels.
The Heart-Break Kid suffered an awful back injury in the beginnings of 1998, which caused him to promptly leave the business as a wrestler for four years. Doctors claimed he may never wrestle again. Shawn spent this time as commissioner of WWF in 1998-2000, he then suffered through plenty of problems as he had serious addiction issues.
He got married and had his first child, found God in his life and went on to return in his first match in four years in SummerSlam 2002 against Triple H. In an outstanding match, Shawn came out victorious and managed to continue his career until 2010.
