5. Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg – WrestleMania 36
The most recent match cancelled due to a WWE Superstar’s illness was the dream Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns bout for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania this year.
WWE was supposed to tape their match last week at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Surprisingly, the match got cancelled at the last minute when Reigns pulled out of the match after arriving at the venue.
The reason why Reigns pulled out of the match is due to him having higher chances of catching the Coronavirus, due to a weak immune system because of his battle with Leukemia in the past (and The Miz arrived sick at the Performance Center).
He reportedly requested WWE to take him out of the match when he found out about The Miz’s illness after arriving at the Performance Center.
