The main event was scheduled to be Flair vs. Savage. Savage came to the ring first. Then Flair’s music played. When Flair didn’t come out, cameras went backstage and filmed the NWO attacking him. Vince (aka Virgil) yelled at the camera as Six filmed it for NWO home video archives while Nash, Hall, and Giant stomped on Flair. Elizabeth and Woman cowered in the background.
When Giant backed Elizabeth into the arena, Savage ran to her aid, stepping in front of her. Hogan attacked Savage from behind, and then dropped over the railing and choked him with a chair. When Liz ran in to stop him, Hogan grabbed her by the hair. Giant then dragged Savage to the ring.
Hogan told Liz, “I own you” as he dragged her by the hair to the ring. (There is no way Hogan can believably turn babyface in the future after this
type of conduct.) Just as Giant was about to chokeslam Savage, Hogan stopped him from stealing his spotlight. He legdropped him several times
and then spray-painted a body outline on the mat. Hogan told Liz, “I own your body, I own your soul, I own your heart because it (our deal) was
etched in stone.” Hogan said he doubted Savage would make it to Halloween Havoc.
