A judge ordered Scott Steiner (real name Scott Rechsteiner) to a sentence of 10 days in jail, $25,000 in fines, 200 hours of community service, and seven years probation. Weeks ago Steiner pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and making terroristic threats to a Department of Transportation worker. In April 1998 Steiner was upset by a road block and took it out on the road worker by hitting him twice with his Ford F-250 pick-up truck. The worker wasn’t injured. His actions are classified as felonies with a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Steiner’s original courtroom demeanor upset the judge enough that he didn’t accept Steiner’s original plea. This time, Scott apologized for what he did. Scott can eventually be found “not guilty” under the state’s “first offender rule” as long as he avoids trouble while on probation.
