With Scott Hall and Curt Hennig being released from WWE and the details of rowdy conduct on a charter flight last week, WWE is giving the impression of being a company unable to control its independent contractors and employees.
Scott Hall is no longer associated with WWE, either. The official word was that he and WWE agreed to terminate his contract; sources say Hall was basically fired. Hall wasn’t involved in any incidents on the charter flight, and instead was laid back and “out of it” due to his recreational behavior for the entire European tour. Hall showed WWE officials that he wasn’t ready for life back on the road, and fearing for his safety even his friends were pushing for him to be sent home.
When Michael Hayes fell asleep, X-Pac chopped off his hair, then the next day at Raw, as detailed last week, the severed mullet was posted on the wall with a sign saying there was an auction with proceeds to benefit Alcoholic Anonymous. Such antics could be simply perceived as harmless pranks if not for how upset everyone was with Hayes and how upset Hayes was with whoever cut his hair (he didn’t know at first).
