HOGAN HEEL INTERVIEW
On the July 15 Nitro, Hulk Hogan returned to the microphone for the first time since his heel interview after his turn at Bash at the Beach.
He said:
“Well you know something Gene-O. I wish I would have done this two years ago.
The New World Order is taking over professional wrestling.
Hulk Hogan is bigger than the world of professional wrestling…
We all know about the training, the prayers, and the vitamins, brother.
And like I said, these people out here, after I led their children down the right path
had the gall to boo Hulk Hogan one more time, brother.
You fans can stick it, brother.”
Hogan then ripped on Sting, saying when they first met he was a skinny little bodybuilder.
Meanwhile, in the foreground of the screen the camera showed someone waving their arms encouraging fans to throw garbage into the ring.
They did, throwing empty plastic bottles at Hogan, although atmosphere clearly much less heated than in Daytona.
He then addressed Randy Savage:
“I heard all the crying from the so-called Macho Man.
For three years he blamed his divorce, the fact that he couldn’t rise to the occasion, on Hulk Hogan, brother.
And over and over and over again this past week I’ve heard the whole WCW blame Hulk Hogan for their problems.
The only problem is I’m the greatest wrestler in the world. I made professional wrestling.
I will always be bigger than pro wrestling.
And with these two friends of mine, the New World Order shall rule the wrestling world…
These are the renegades brother.
These are the men who when I opened the door, brother, they had the guts enough to walk through it.
These are the guys that are going to set the trend for ’90s, that will lead Hulk Hogan and professional wrestling to its destiny.
But this is just the foundation.
What the people out there don’t realize is that as I build my empire, will there be more Outsiders that I bring in?
Or will it be people that are so close to Ted Turner, maybe Eric Bischoff’s friends, maybe the guys that are in the locker room right now.
There’s always been a double loyalty, man.
In this business they’ve been loyal to the promoters who have paid their bills and they also have been loyal to Hulk Hogan because they know where Hulk Hogan goes, that’s where wrestling goes.”
Regarding the kids, Hogan said:
“Well, you know dudes. I laid it out there straight for all those kids, brother.
They didn’t want to follow the path, so I’m done with them, man.
But as far as I’m concerned, I’m not going to mess with that skinny little Macho Man or that crybaby Sting.
I’m going right to the top of the ladder brother.
At Hog Wild on Aug. 10, if the Giant has guts enough, I’m going to dismantle the whole Ted Turner organization in one night.
I’m going to take the WCW belt and make it the New World Order belt and we shall reign supreme.”
Hogan then challenged anyone from the back to come out.
The Steiners, Arn Anderson, Meng, and Barbarian came out as the show went off the air.
