HOGAN ON REGIS & KATHY LEE
Hulk Hogan appeared on Regis & Kathy Lee on Nov. 6. A clip aired of Hogan dressed as Hogan beating up bad guys in his movie “Santa with Muscles.” Hogan then came out wearing black including an NWO shirt. Regis talked about how lean and handsome Hogan looks. Hogan bragged in a nice guy voice about being “the bad guy,” but put the “mainstream spin” on his character change.
“All those years being a good guy, I just couldn’t let loose out there,” Hogan explained. “Now after forming my new organization, the New World Order, I own Ted Turner. I own everything he’s got. I’m getting ready for the Cable Ace Awards. I know I’m going to be nominated and win. And you know what’s so cool about this thing? All those kids with the training, the prayers, and the vitamins in the ’80s. That stuff all works. But when Hulk Hogan gets in the ring now, no more politics. I’ve got a new band of renegades with me, all my brothers in the New World Order. They are bad to the bone and we just take over. And I am still the World Heavyweight Champion of the World.”
Kathy Lee said: “You were a role model for kids. You were a good guy.” Hogan responded: “I’m still a role model for the kids. Kids are smarter than the adults. They know that Hulk Hogan’s a good guy, but when I step in the ring, Hulk Hogan doesn’t play politics anymore. I just take over, take control, and cut to the quick… The kids are pretty sharp. Even though I’m a bad guy, I still go out and strut and wrestle and do all the stuff I usually do. And I get out there and half the people cheer me and half the people boo me. It’s just as loud as ever. The volume is just unbelievable.”
